Chelsea Townhouse
Completed in 2018 when we took this project on the brief was to focus on the Lighting element with a turnkey solution for future proofing the property. We opted for a Lutron Homeworks QS system with the added addition of Sivoia QS automated skylights. Working closely with the client’s team we developed a working scheme for the lighting control strategy and future proof element.
One of the larger residential lighting projects we needed suitable space to locate four lighting control panels. An existing plant room was selected by the client’s team which would be the epicentre of all mechanical, electrical, AV, and security systems. Finding suitable locations for head end equipment can sometimes be challenging on residential projects due to the desire to maximise living space but this project had a ready-made solution from the get-go.
With the controls it was an easy choice to go with palladiom keypads in architectural matte finish from Lutron with a mix of button configurations around the house. All the upper floors required dual column keypads to facilitate button controls required. The rear upper elevation of the property had vaulted ceilings on either side with large skylights. Fitted within the skylights were Lutron Sivoia QS motorised skylights and we fitted new actuators to the existing middle opening section of the window and integrated the opening and closing of the windows to be operated through the Lutron Homeworks system.
The property was fully future proofed and prewired for an array of potential upgrades in the future which included cinema, multi room audio, video distribution, and fibre cabling throughout.
